Past China collaborations activities
In order to foster academic and clinical research cooperation between The University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine, The WHO Collaboration Centre of Public Health Education, Shanghai, PRC, and The Eastern China Healthy Brain Research Institute, Shanghai, PRC, the three institutions have Signed the memorandum of understanding based upon principles of mutual equality and reciprocity of benefits on December 30, 2009. The three institutions will seek opportunities to cooperate in academic/research areas of rural eHealth and public health education in China and Canada.

A proposal outlines a two-year eHealth development and implementation strategy for a scalable and sustainable health service and education framework supporting rural China
China has a highly robust information communication infrastructure and is also home to many first-rate medical schools, hospitals, and physicians that can provide high quality health and education services. Dr. Kendall Ho (Faculty of Medicine, director of eHealth Strategy office) believes that effectively leveraging these two national strengths through eHealth can help achieve equity in health access, service, and education in rural China. Dr. Kendall Ho and Ms. Janice Tian have put together a proposal outlines a two-year eHealth development and implementation strategy for a scalable and sustainable health service and education framework supporting rural China through international and local partnerships between policy makers, medical schools and rural communities. Dr. Kendall Ho has been working closely with The WHO Collaboration Centre of Public Health Education, Shanghai, PRC, and The Eastern China Healthy Brain Research Institute on the eHealth education and training over the past several years, in recognition of his contribution to eHealth education in china, NAO JINGKANG (Shanghai, China) magazine has chosen Dr. Kendall Ho for 2009, the 12rd person.
