The InterCultural Online Network (iCON) Project, one of the flagship projects of the eHealth Strategy Office, is offering a forum at the Okanagan Sikh Temple in Kelowna, BC, today at 1pm PT. The forum will delivered entirely in Punjabi, and will be broadcast live to the web. Please tune in here from 1-3:30pm.
The session will focus on the prevention and management of diabetes, and will include presentations by a variety of physicians and health professionals from BC, including Dr. Gulzar Cheema, iCON’s medical director and family practice physician.
Since 2007, iCON has delivered health forums for BC’s Chinese and Punjabi speaking communities that have focused on prevention and management of the following chronic diseases: diabetes, cardiovascular health, dementia, mental wellness and liver diseases. We are delighted to be taking the health information show on the road to Kelowna, and to be able to offer the session to anyone interested, using a live webcast of the event.
