The opening of our new Knowledge Studio that took place in December has been highlighted on the UBC Faculty of Medicine Website. A number of University representatives and stakeholders were in attendance, and Dr. Ross MacGillivray gave some brief opening remarks that connected the goals of the new space to the overall directions of the Faculty.

“We look forward to this continuing partnership to utilize new technology for the benefit of the citizens of BC that we serve,” said Ross MacGillivray, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, at the studio’s opening Dec. 12, which was covered by OMNI News and Fairchild Television. Dr. MacGillivray described the space as a “technology petting zoo where you can come learn about the new technology, research and education… and then get this knowledge out into the community.”

Our continued support from the Faculty of Medicine makes all our work at the eHealth Strategy Office possible, so we owe a big thanks to the Faculty of Medicine and UBC for providing the foundation on which we are allowed to stand.
