We are pleased to present eHealth Strategy Offices’ 2011 2012 Annual Report, covering our third year of operations.
Since its start in 2009, the eHealth Strategy Office (eHSO) has attracted considerable interest that has resulted in collaborations with provincial and federal departments, health authorities, medical professionals, as well as the general public. In 2011-2012, we have successfully obtained over 2 million dollars in program/project funding and research grants regionally, nationally, and internationally.
At the eHealth Strategy Office, we continue to focus our efforts on exploring how modern information and communication technologies can play a role in improving health care delivery, education, research, and knowledge translation across local, national, and international levels. Over the past year, eHSO has been involved in and led over twenty different innovative research, educational, and technology-focused activities and projects engaging communities across the province of BC and Canada. Also, we have active involvements in international projects in China and Brazil.
Buoyed by the tremendous growth eHSO has experienced over the past three years, we continue to explore new opportunities for research and continue to build and strengthen our partnerships within the UBC community and beyond.
