January 2020 saw the opening of the UBC Community Health and Wellbeing Cloud Innovation Centre. The Cloud Innovation Centre (CIC) at UBC is the first of its kind in Canada, and provides UBC students, staff, and faculty access to cloud technology to advance projects, along with employing Amazon’s innovation processes.
Dr. Kendall Ho is the Academic Director of UBC CIC which gives student teams, supported by staff and faculty, the opportunity to use leading cloud technology from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to unlock results for Community Health and Wellbeing challenge projects faster and generate new insights for our community.
