Dr. Kendall Ho Presents at ‘Discovery to Commercialization’ Speaker Series

Dr. Kendall Ho, Lead of UBC Digital Emergency Medicine, was recently invited to share his experience translating research discoveries to commercial applications. This virtual event, Moving Digital Innovations Forward, took place on October 29, 2020, and was hosted by the UBC Faculty of Medicine and the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI).

In his presentation, Dr. Ho provided an overview of the process of developing commercial solutions, speaking from his experience in this area. He emphasized the importance of focusing on filling gaps in order to meet the needs of patients, health care providers, and organizations.

Dr. Ho presented alongside industry leaders from clinical, academic, and commercial backgrounds. Event speakers included: Dr. James Helliwell, Dr. Maryam Sadehgi, Dr. Richard Lester, and Dr. JJ Sidhu. The event was moderated by Iain Begg, Managing Director, Innovation Partnerships, Office of the Vice-President of Research and Innovation at UBC.
