Technology-Enabled Academic Detailing Pilot Phase Complete

The TEAD (Technology-Enabled Academic Detailing) Program Pilot completed in early June. Academic detailing (AD) is the interaction of a health professional, most commonly a pharmacist, with a physician, to discuss evidence informed drug therapy. Preliminary findings indicate a high level of physician support for both TEAD and AD. It is envisioned that TEAD and AD will impact the health system through both cost savings and meeting optimal prescribing targets, objectives which will contribute to the overall quality of care for patients.
